4 of 5 New awning for the RV March 25, 2019
Reviewer: John Savage from Ashcroft, BC Canada
Purchased a 16' awning for our 24' motorhome.  Somehow the wind had ripped and broken the old awning.  Installing the new Aleko was somewhat tedious mainly because I was trying to match the old install.  The new material track was slightly different than the old (which I removed) and involved sealing it up again.  The new lower brackets didn't fit over the MH trim so I used the old brackets.  While some of the hardware was skimpier than the old, some was substantially more robust.  The colouring on the awning did show some peeling in the folds which bothered me.  I used the old pull-down strap instead of the flimsy new one.  The awning edge had no treatment; just a cut edge.  I thought it could have at least been hemmed or scalloped.  Overall I'm pleased but the product could have been better.
